The Department of Arts & Culture, Andaman and Nicobar Administration accepting applications from registered cultural organisations for financial assistance under its Grant-in-Aid scheme for the 2026-27 financial year. Eligible organisations can apply for ₹25,000 before the August 18 deadline, in accordance with the rules established on September 3, 2018. The Department will only consider assistance applications from registered cultural organisations based in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.


To qualify for the grant, these organisations must have a registered office in the islands, actively promote art and culture, national integration, and communal harmony, and have been operational in these fields for at least one year. Interested organisations must submit their applications in the prescribed format with all necessary supporting documents.

The application form is available for download on the Andaman and Nicobar Administration website or can be obtained from the Directorate of Arts & Culture at the Cellular Jail Complex. Completed applications must be submitted to the Director at the same location by August 18, 2026. Applications will be processed according to the existing Grant-in-Aid rules for financial assistance to local cultural organizations.
