Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has urged the Chief Secretary to reopen the online application portal and extend the application deadline for the Combined Matric Level and Combined Higher Secondary Level Recruitment Examinations, 2026. He highlighted complaints from candidates regarding persistent technical issues with the portal, which has been frequently unavailable or malfunctioning during application submissions, despite reliable internet access.
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray highlighted that the recruitment portal is facing technical issues, while other online services, including the college admission portal and EWS Certificates issuance, are functioning normally. This has led to many qualified applicants being unable to submit their applications on time.
The MP has highlighted that many affected candidates have submitted requests for relief to the Administration. He urged for the recruitment portal to be reopened and the deadline for online applications extended by at least one week to ensure fairness, equal opportunity, and transparency in the recruitment process for the youth of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
