Technological giant Apple recorded its highest-ever revenue in India for the September quarter of fiscal 2026, driven by robust performance across its iPhone, Mac, and Services businesses, Chief Executive Officer John Ternus announced during the company’s latest quarterly earnings call. The impressive milestone comes as Apple accelerates its broader expansion across the country, diversifying beyond mobile hardware sales into software ecosystem offerings and digital payments, highlighted by the recent launch of Apple Pay in India in partnership with Axis Bank. According to executive statements, Apple achieved record September-quarter revenues across major global regions, including the US, Europe, Greater China, and the rest of Asia-Pacific, with India standing out as a premier growth market across both developed and emerging economies. Globally, the iPhone division generated $57.6 billion in quarterly revenue, representing a 17 per cent year-on-year increase despite persistent supply constraints and foreign exchange headwinds. Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh noted that the iPhone active installed base reached an all-time high, with India ranking among the top markets alongside the US and mainland China for recording a September-quarter high in iPhone upgraders. Citing recent market research from Worldpanel, Parekh emphasized that the iPhone maintained its position as one of the top-selling smartphone models in India, joining key international markets such as urban China, the UK, Germany, Australia, and Japan. Beyond smartphones, Apple’s Mac business achieved an all-time revenue record in India, contributing to a 24 per cent year-on-year global surge in Mac revenue to $10.8 billion. Demand was primarily spearheaded by strong consumer adoption of the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro models, enabling the company to log its best fiscal year in emerging markets through a combination of existing user upgrades and first-time buyers. Simultaneously, Apple’s Services division—comprising the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, Apple TV, and integrated financial services—set its own historic revenue benchmark in India and across Latin America. On a global scale, Services revenue expanded by 10 per cent year-on-year to reach a record $31.6 billion, backed by more than 1.5 billion paid subscriptions worldwide and all-time high user participation. Together, these record-setting achievements underscore Apple’s deepening commercial momentum and strategic footprint within India’s rapidly growing consumer market.
