The Andaman & Nicobar Administration is working to restore the regular supply of domestic LPG cylinders in Campbell Bay has faced disruptions due to shipping interruptions. This has resulted in a temporary shortage as available stocks were depleted. To address the LPG supply issue in Campbell Bay, the Administration coordinated with the Indian Navy, Andaman & Nicobar Command, and IOCL to transport 250 filled LPG cylinders.
Due to ongoing high demand, another consignment of 250 cylinders has been requested from the Indian Navy, subject to operational feasibility. Efforts are underway to transport around 200 cylinders via MV Chuglam in the first week of August. The Administration expects sufficient LPG cylinders to arrive in Campbell Bay by the first week of August, restoring normal availability. Appreciation has been expressed for the Indian Navy and the Andaman & Nicobar Command for their support in supplying LPG to the remote island, with assurances made to residents that efforts are underway to restore regular supplies promptly.
