The tech world is abuzz with the latest leaks surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which are expected to spearhead Apple’s fall 2026 lineup alongside a rumored “iPhone Fold.” Early CAD renders and supply chain reports suggest a significant design refinement on the front, with a 35% smaller Dynamic Island made possible by shifting several Face ID components beneath the display. While the screen sizes are expected to remain at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively, the Pro Max model may become slightly thicker to house a massive 5,200mAh battery, potentially pushing its weight beyond 240 grams. Internally, the series will debut the A20 Pro chipset, Apple’s first processor built on TSMC’s cutting-edge 2nm process, which promises a 15% boost in speed and a 30% improvement in power efficiency for advanced on-device AI tasks.

The most dramatic upgrades are reserved for the camera system, which is tipped to feature Apple’s first mechanical variable aperture lens. This hardware shift will allow users to physically adjust light intake and depth of field, reducing reliance on software-based image processing for portraits. Additionally, the Pro models may adopt a new three-layer stacked sensor from Samsung to enhance dynamic range and low-light performance. New aesthetic options are also on the horizon, with a sophisticated “Dark Cherry” (a deep, wine-red hue) and “Coffee Brown” reportedly joining the palette. In India, despite the significant hardware jumps and global memory cost pressures, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to maintain a starting price of ₹1,34,900, while the Pro Max could start at ₹1,59,900 when they launch this September.
