Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona recently asserted that the state government will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the upcoming fourteenth International Tourism Mart, scheduled to take place in Tawang from October twenty-seventh to November first, provides an extraordinary global stage to highlight the region’s breathtaking natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and legendary traditional hospitality. Chairing a comprehensive review meeting alongside senior officials from the Union Ministry of Tourism, the State Tourism Department, and key administrative leads from Tawang and West Kameng districts, Sona emphasized that comprehensive preparations must extend far beyond the main venue to impeccably cover accommodation, logistics, transport protocols, and localized guest experiences. Jointly organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the Arunachal Pradesh administration, the prestigious annual mart anticipates delegates representing approximately twenty foreign nations alongside prominent domestic travel operators, industry buyers, sellers, media personnel, and governmental stakeholders. Returning to Tawang for the first time since 2013, the high-profile event offers a unique platform to project the district’s monumental attractions—including the historic Tawang Monastery, the scenic Sela Pass, roaring waterfalls, high-altitude alpine lakes, and the vibrant indigenous Monpa culture—to a wider international audience. Minister Sona underscored that seamless inter-departmental collaboration is paramount to guaranteeing that every visitor is embraced by the genuine warmth and hospitality of the state, fostering long-lasting connections with global travel networks, expanding economic opportunities for regional tourism businesses, and firmly establishing Arunachal Pradesh as an premier destination on the international tourism map.
