Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair organised a free hearing check-up camp at Khaitan Kalyana Mandapam in Port Blair, providing hearing care services to 38 patients. The initiative was conducted in association with Hear Clear, Carlton Towers, Bengaluru, to raise awareness about hearing health and the importance of early diagnosis.

The camp was organised in collaboration with Municipal Councillor Niyamat (Aziz Ur Rahman) of Ward No. 6. It was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Niveditha Ashok, along with the medical team from Hear Clear.

Participants received free hearing assessments, ENT consultations and professional advice on managing hearing-related problems. The medical team also highlighted the importance of regular hearing examinations, timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment to prevent further deterioration and reduce the possibility of permanent hearing loss.

The programme also provided information about hearing aid upgrades, buyback schemes and free servicing of existing devices, helping participants understand the available options for better hearing care.

Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair President Farhan Jadwet, Secretary Shikha Agarwal and Treasurer Devang Goel supported the initiative as part of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to public welfare.

The camp encouraged people not to ignore early signs of hearing difficulties and to seek medical assistance without delay. By bringing free consultations and specialist guidance closer to residents, the initiative highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare and community awareness.

With 38 beneficiaries, the programme marked a meaningful effort towards promoting better hearing health in Port Blair.
