RPF of NF Railway Recovers Contraband Over Rs 62.45 Lakh During Series of Operations ; Rescues 8 Minors
In a series of operations conducted, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) registered significant achievements in ensuring railway security and passenger safety.
Through a series of coordinated operations across railway stations and trains in Assam, Bihar, Tripura, Nagaland and West Bengal, RPF personnel achieved notable success in anti-narcotics enforcement, crime prevention, rescue of vulnerable persons and passenger welfare initiatives.
Collectively, these operations resulted in 19 successful cases being detected by RPF personnel, leading to the recovery of 12.666 kg of ganja worth approximately more than Rs. 6.33 lakh, 279.21 grams of Brown
Sugar worth approximately more than Rs 55.84 lakh and 155 bottles of illicit liquor worth approximately more than Rs 28,000.
The operations also led to the recovery of three stolen mobile phones worth approximately more than Rs. 45 thousand, apprehension of 07 offenders, rescue of eight minors (five boys and three girls) and provision of timely medical assistance to three passengers in distress.
