The first-ever Ziro Mud Festival (ZMF) featured thrilling off-road action, bringing together motorsport enthusiasts and competitors from across Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier, the maiden edition of the ZMF got off to a high-voltage start at Loder Kontii, Maniipolyang, Hong Village in Ziro on Friday.
The three-day motorsport event was organised by Ziro Offroad Adventure (ZOA), led by its young promoter, Takhe Talley.
More than 40 competitors, with their vehicles representing different motor clubs from across the state, participated in the festival. They competed in three categories — Stock, Semi-Modified, and Women’s.
Notably, the event was officially flagged off by Chau Zignu Namchoom, MLA, 47 Namsai, and Advisor to the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and RWD, who attended as the chief guest. Hage Appa, MLA, 17 Ziro-Hapoli, was the guest of honour.
Taba Tedir, president of the Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA), attended as the special guest.
