In the past month of May, the sales of India’s leading automobile manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra, increased by 20% on a year-on-year basis. Last month, the company sold 99,636 vehicles. This figure also includes exported vehicles. During this period, the company sold 58,021 vehicles in the domestic market, which is 11% higher compared to May of the previous year.
During this timeframe, the company sold 59,573 vehicles in its utility segment. In May, the company’s commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market grew by 19% to reach 24,079 units. Regarding this, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the company’s Automotive Division, stated— “With an 11% growth in May, we have successfully sold 58,021 SUVs. On the other hand, with a year-on-year growth of 20%, the total number of vehicles sold has reached 99,636.”
