JSW Energy announced on Friday that its total operational capacity has crossed the 15-gigawatt (GW) milestone, reaching 15,025 megawatts (MW), with renewable energy sources accounting for a dominant 60 per cent share of the portfolio. According to a regulatory exchange filing by the company, green energy assets comprise 9,067 MW of its total operational footprint—consisting of 3,125 MW from wind power, 2,426 MW from solar energy, 1,735 MW from hybrid projects, and 1,781 MW from hydro power capacity. The remaining portion of the company’s portfolio consists of thermal power, which currently stands at 5,958 MW. Looking ahead, JSW Energy reaffirmed that it remains firmly on track to achieve its ambitious greenfield capacity addition target of 3 GW for the financial year 2027, having already successfully accomplished approximately 42 per cent of this target to date.
