Anurag Goel, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Assam, visited Morigaon district today to review the preparedness of the district administration for the forthcoming bye-election.
He chaired a meeting at the office of the District Commissioner, Morigaon. During the meeting, District Commissioner Srishti Singh briefed the CEO on the overall administrative preparedness and arrangements being undertaken for the smooth conduct of the election.
The Chief Electoral Officer reviewed various aspects of election preparedness, including logistical arrangements, EVM deployment and the functioning and coordination of different election-related cells. He directed the officials concerned to ensure timely completion of all necessary preparations and to maintain strict compliance with the guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Orpah Baglari; Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad Satyajit Chetia; along with all Additional District Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, the Election Officer, Circle Officers, EVM Officers and Cell In-charges of Morigaon district, among others.
