In a major push to facilitate and guide local youth aspiring to serve the Indian Armed Forces, Assam Rifles organised a pre-medical check-up for prospective Agniveer candidates at Waikhong Village Football Ground, Kakching District, Manipur, on Sunday.
The proactive outreach initiative witnessed an enthusiastic response, drawing approximately 135 local youth from Waikhong Village and adjoining areas in Kakching District. Conducted under the supervision of qualified medical personnel, the drive provided candidates with preliminary medical screening along with crucial insights into the medical standards and recruitment criteria set by the armed forces.
Throughout the screening, medical professionals offered comprehensive guidance on maintaining physical fitness, personal health, and overall medical readiness. This structured preliminary assessment enabled candidates to identify and address prospective health issues well in advance of official recruitment rallies.
Beyond medical evaluations, the programme motivated eligible youth to prepare diligently, fostering a disciplined, nation-oriented mindset and encouraging full utilization of career opportunities in the Armed Forces.
