Mumbai, July 23, 2025 — In a major casting coup, Dharma Productions has announced that acclaimed actress Wamiqa Gabbi and digital sensation Bhuvan Bam will headline its upcoming romantic comedy, Kuku Ki Kundali. Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, the film is set to begin shooting in late 2025, with primary schedules in Mumbai and select hill station locales, yet to be finalized.
The film marks Bhuvan Bam’s Bollywood debut, transitioning from his wildly popular YouTube channel BB Ki Vines and acting credits in Taaza Khabar to the silver screen. Gabbi, fresh off her performances in Jubilee, Khufiya, and Bhool Chuk Maaf, continues her rise as one of Dharma’s most promising new leads.
Described as a light-hearted romantic comedy, Kuku Ki Kundali promises sharp dialogues, laugh-out-loud moments, and warm family dynamics. The pairing of Gabbi and Bam is expected to bring a fresh energy to Dharma’s evolving slate of relatable, youth-driven narratives.
In a recent interview, Gabbi reflected on her journey, saying, “I used to wish I was born into a film family… but now I thank God for the hardships. They taught me everything I needed to know.” Her grounded perspective and growing fan base have made her a sought-after name in both film and streaming.
Production details remain under wraps, but industry insiders anticipate significant buzz around the project, given its unconventional casting and Dharma’s backing. The film is expected to release in 2026, with more updates to follow as filming commences.
