Bogotá, August 8, 2025 — National Award-winning actor Vikrant Massey has commenced filming for his upcoming biopic, White, in Colombia, South America. The film, directed by Montoo Bassi, chronicles the life and global peace efforts of spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, particularly his role in helping resolve Colombia’s 52-year-long civil war.
Contrary to earlier reports suggesting a Colombo shoot, the production is underway in Colombia with an international cast and crew. Massey, fresh off his acclaimed performance in 12th Fail, is portraying Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in what is being described as a cinematic retelling of one man’s unwavering belief in peace and dialogue amid decades of violence and failed negotiations.
Backed by producers Sidharth Anand, Mahaveer Jain, and PeaceCraft Pictures, White is being filmed at real locations across Colombia. The crew includes professionals from the acclaimed series Narcos, adding authenticity and technical depth to the project. Massey has reportedly undergone intensive workshops and reading sessions to prepare for the role.
The film aims to highlight the spiritual leader’s contributions to global peace, rooted in ancient Indian philosophies, and is positioned as a universal story of resilience and transformation. While the release date is yet to be announced, White is expected to complete its Colombia schedule before moving to other international locations.
