Mumbai, July 29, 2025 — Actor Viineet Kumar Siingh, known for his versatile performances in Chhaava, The Superboys of Malegaon, and the recently released Rangeen, has entered a deeply personal new chapter—fatherhood. In an exclusive interview, Siingh reflected on the emotional and logistical balancing act of welcoming his newborn son while fulfilling professional obligations.
The actor and his wife, Ruchira, welcomed their first child on July 24, just days after the premiere of Rangeen, a Prime Video series produced by Kabir Khan. Siingh described the timing as “God’s screenplay,” recounting how he juggled hospital visits and promotional screenings on July 23, with the hospital and theatre located just minutes apart. “I kept running back and forth between screenings and the hospital. At midnight, I was finally there with Ruchira—and the next day, our baby arrived,” he shared.
Despite the overwhelming joy, Siingh admitted to feeling a sense of absence while away from his son due to prior work commitments. “He’s just five days old. My heart is there with him. But when you’ve made a commitment, you have to stand by it,” he said, adding that years of struggle have taught him to treat work as worship.
Siingh, a trained medical doctor, emphasized the importance of supporting his wife through postpartum recovery and acknowledged the hormonal and emotional complexities of new parenthood. “People think everything is fine after delivery, but that’s just the beginning. We haven’t slept in three days,” he noted.
He has opted for a partial paternity leave, choosing not to travel outside Mumbai for at least 40–45 days. “Ruchira is my everything—my manager, stylist, and partner. She’s at risk right now, and I want to be with her,” he said.
Describing fatherhood as the most meaningful role of his life, Siingh said, “From arranging his baby bottle to figuring out his sleep schedule, I’m trying to make sure my baby is alright. This is a role I want to fulfill for the rest of my life”.
