Mumbai, August 4, 2025 — Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has finally spoken out about persistent rumours connecting her to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, calling the speculation “embarrassing” and “completely unfounded”.

In a candid interview with The Lallantop, Bhatia recalled how a 2020 photo with Razzaq at a jewellery store event sparked widespread gossip about a romantic relationship and even a secret marriage. “Mazaak mazaak mein Abdul Razzaq! The Internet is a fun place. According to the internet, I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq. I’m sorry sir, aapke do-teen bachche hain. I don’t know about your life, but it was so embarrassing,” she said with a mix of humour and disbelief.

She also addressed earlier rumours linking her to Virat Kohli, which emerged after the two appeared together in a commercial. “I feel so bad because I literally met him for only one day. I have never met Virat after the shoot. Na maine unse baat ki, na unse mili hoon,” Bhatia clarified.

The actress expressed discomfort over being associated with individuals she has no personal connection to, noting that such speculation can be emotionally taxing. “It is very awkward when the media links you to someone you have absolutely no connection with,” she said.

Despite the absurdity of these rumours, Bhatia acknowledged that public perception is difficult to control. “It takes time, but one finally accepts that there’s nothing one can do about it,” she added. She also emphasized the importance of staying aware of audience feedback, admitting that she regularly searches her name online to gauge public sentiment.

Currently single, Bhatia was last publicly linked to actor Vijay Varma, with whom she reportedly parted ways earlier this year. On the professional front, she is gearing up for multiple film releases across languages, including VVAN – Force of the Forest and No Entry 2.

Her remarks have reignited conversations about the impact of celebrity gossip and the need for responsible media reporting.
