Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol has officially announced the sequel to his recent action-packed film, Jaat, titled Jaat 2. The film will once again be helmed by Gopichand Malineni, who directed the first installment.
Deol took to Instagram on April 17 to share the news, unveiling the Jaat 2 poster with the caption: “#Jaat on to a New Mission! #Jaat2”. The announcement comes after Jaat performed well at the box office, grossing over ₹70 crore worldwide.
Jaat 2 will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. While the full cast has not been officially confirmed, Sunny Deol is set to reprise his role as Baldev Pratap Singh. The first film featured Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.
Jaat has been Deol’s third-biggest hit, following the success of Gadar 2. The film is expected to face competition from Kesari Chapter 2, which releases on April 18.
Director Gopichand Malineni has hinted that Jaat 2 will feature more action, emotion, and a deeper focus on Sunny Deol’s character’s family.
