Secretary (Health) Dr. Anil Agarwal officially opened a state-of-the-art 128-slice CT scan facility at GB Pant Hospital, significantly advancing medical diagnostics in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The state-of-the-art imaging equipment is expected to improve patient care, decrease wait times, and increase diagnostic accuracy. Speaking to the crowd during the inauguration event, Dr. Agarwal emphasized the Administration’s dedication to bolstering healthcare systems and ensuring that advanced medical technology is within reach.

With its state-of-the-art imaging technology, the recently installed 128-slice CT scanner offers high-resolution scans with lower radiation exposure, improving efficiency and safety. With the ability to perform whole-body, brain, and heart scans, the facility should be able to meet a variety of medical needs. GB Pant Hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. M.K. Saha, thanked the initiative and emphasized how it will improve healthcare service. Dr. Suja Antony, Director of Health Services & Director, ANIIMS, as well as prominent health officials, medical professionals, and local people attended the inauguration ceremony. They hailed the facility as a significant advancement in the healthcare landscape of the area.
