The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Car Nicobar, arranged a specific first-aid training program for the older persons of Lapathy Village as part of a proactive effort to provide them with vital life-saving skills. Elderly community members enthusiastically participated in the program, which aimed to provide them with the information and abilities necessary to handle emergency medical emergencies in their homes and neighborhoods. Ms. Sunita Kumari, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Car Nicobar, opened the workshop by stressing the value of basic healthcare knowledge in improving senior residents’ confidence and general well-being.

He offered practical instruction and live demonstrations of essential first-aid skills, such as emergency response protocols, fracture support, burn treatment of varying severity, wound dressing, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The guests were able to practice the skills being taught because of the participatory approach, which guaranteed active engagement. Ms. Jassie, the village captain of Small Lapathy, spoke to the audience and expressed gratitude for ICDS Car Nicobar’s work on behalf of senior citizens. Shri Onisimus, the village secretary, also urged participants to take full advantage of the training and act as first responders in their villages and homes in the event of minor medical emergencies.
