The tragic murder of a 17-year-old boy in Seelampur, northeast Delhi, has sparked a political clash between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The boy, identified as Kunal, was fatally stabbed in the J-Block locality on April 17, 2025. The incident has raised serious concerns about the law and order situation in the city.
AAP leader Atishi criticized the BJP-led Central Government and Delhi Police, accusing them of failing to ensure the safety of citizens. She questioned the effectiveness of the “double-engine government” and demanded accountability from Home Minister Amit Shah. Atishi’s remarks highlighted the deteriorating security in Delhi, which she attributed to the BJP’s governance.
In response, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari condemned the murder and assured the public that swift action would be taken. He revealed that most of the suspects had been identified and that a thorough investigation was underway. Tiwari also appealed for calm and urged the public to allow law enforcement to carry out their duties without interference.
The incident has led to protests in the Seelampur area, with locals blocking roads and demanding justice for the victim. The Delhi Police have increased their presence in the area to maintain order and have assured the public that efforts are being made to apprehend the culprits.
