Residents of Baratang are extremely relieved and happy about the long-awaited relocation of the State Bank of India (SBI) Baratang branch from the first floor to a new, more accessible ground floor location at Nilambur Village. The former branch had been in business for more than 13 or 14 years, but because it was on the upper floor, it presented serious difficulties for elderly people, expectant mothers, and people with special needs. Everyone may now access financial services more easily and inclusively thanks to the ground floor move. Shri Alager Swamy, Zilla Parishad Member, Baratang; Smti Sumari Roy, Pradhan, Nilambur; Smti Sarla Krishnan, Pradhan, Sundergarh; Mr. Vivekanand Singh, Deputy General Manager, SBI; and Mr. Santosh Sahu, Regional Manager, SBI were also in attendance at the grand reopening event.
