National award-winning actress Rashmika Mandanna has set the internet ablaze with the unveiling of her intense first look from Mysaa, her upcoming pan-India action drama. The film, directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, marks a significant departure from Mandanna’s previous roles, showcasing her in what she describes as her “fiercest, most raw” avatar to date.

The first-look poster, released across multiple languages by her co-stars from various industries—including Dhanush (Tamil), Vicky Kaushal (Hindi), Dulquer Salmaan (Malayalam), and Shivaraj Kumar (Kannada)—features Mandanna as a blood-streaked warrior draped in a traditional saree, adorned with tribal jewelry and a crescent-shaped bindi. Her intense gaze and partially veiled face evoke a sense of mystery and power, hinting at the emotional and physical depth of the character.

In a heartfelt note shared on social media, Mandanna wrote, “A character I’ve never played before… a world I’ve never stepped into… and a version of me that even I hadn’t met till now. It’s fierce, it’s intense, and it’s extremely raw. I am so nervous and super excited.”

Mysaa is reportedly set against the backdrop of the Gond tribal community and is billed as an emotional action thriller. The film has been in development for over two years, with director Pulle—an associate of acclaimed filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi—emphasizing authenticity in world-building and character design.

“This story demanded a level of detail and emotional truth that we’ve worked tirelessly to achieve,” said Pulle. “Rashmika’s transformation is at the heart of this film, and we’re excited to present a narrative that is both rooted and resonant.”

The project is backed by producers Ajay and Anil Sayyapureddy, with Sai Gopa serving as co-producer. With a high production scale and a strong female lead, Mysaa is poised to be a landmark entry in Mandanna’s filmography and a notable addition to India’s evolving cinematic landscape.

The film joins Rashmika’s robust slate of upcoming projects, including Pushpa 3, The Girlfriend, Rainbow, and Thama with Ayushmann Khurrana, further cementing her status as one of the most versatile and bankable stars in Indian cinema.
