Ram Kapoor, who hails from a business family, is one of the highest-paid television actors. He recently became the first Indian to buy a Lamborghini Urus worth Rs 5.21 crore.

Ram Kapoor became a household name after his roles in Kasam Se and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. Being one of the highest-paid television stars of his generation, Ram Kapoor has bought several luxury cars, including a Mercedes-AMG G63, BMW X5, a Porsche, a Ferrari, and most recently, a Lamborghini Urus worth around Rs 5.21 crore.

The actor recently shared that he has earned enough money for at least four generations, and he can afford expensive things without thinking much.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, the actor said, “I have always been a petrol fanatic. I am very fond of cars and bikes. People who are car and bike freaks like me and those who can afford it, mostly have a collection of them.

The difference is that my cars are talked about whereas my friends have better collections than me, who are not in the public eye because they mostly belong to the corporate world, they are not talked about. So if someone is a petrol freak like me, once you can afford it, you will have it without a second thought because I don’t like spending money on anything else.”

He further added, “Watches and cars are the only things I like, so people who can afford these watches have a great collection of watches. It’s just that a lot of people who have it like to keep quiet about it. We also want to keep quiet, but unfortunately because I am in the public eye, the media gets to know about it. Yes, I have a collection of cars.

I have a Ferrari, a Porsche, but the thing is we don’t like to show it off.” Ram Kapoor said that he never personally posts about his luxury purchases, but somehow the news comes out. “When I bought the Lamborghini, I had clearly told the dealer not to put the press there. However, they had an in-house photographer. Now, as soon as they uploaded it on their site, the media picked it up.

How can I stop it? I am lucky that I can afford all this.” In the same interview, Ram Kapoor claimed that he along with his fellow actors like Sakshi Tanwar and Ronit Roy have earned enough for at least four generations. “It’s not like television actors earn as much as film actors. But if you have a hit show that runs for 7-8 years and if you are at the top of television or earning a lot of money, your per month cheque is equal to your 8 years’ salary.

People like me, Sakshi and Ronit, if you have been on television for 20 years and are sensible then you have earned enough for at least 3-4 generations,” he said. While Ram Kapoor spends his time and money buying fancy cars and luxury watches, his wife Gautami Kapoor guides him when it comes to fashion.

“I wear brands and things like that, but most of it is chosen by my wife. She often suggests me new collections and trends,” he said. According to reports, the actor has a big house in Mumbai and also owns plush properties in Goa and Khandala. Apart from this, the actor also owns a vacation property in Alibaug worth Rs 20 crore.
