Director Gautham Tinnanuri’s Kingdom stars Vijay Deverakonda and Bhagyashree Borse in the lead roles and is produced by Naga Vamsi.
After the film’s release, Naga Vamsi spoke to the media about Kingdom. Producer Naga Vamsi said that he is “always worried before the release, whether the film’s budget is Rs 5 crore or Rs 500 crore.”
He further added, “Having hit songs doesn’t mean a good opening. We can’t predict which film will be a hit. We will only know when the audience or fans make advance bookings for the film.”
He explained that the success of a film depends on three factors: if buyers recover their investment from GST, it is a “hit”; if they save GST, it is a “super hit”; and if they get commission, it is a “big hit”.
Vamsi said that Kingdom was a “superhit in many regions” and that the film also did well in Malayalam, which he had not expected. He added that he would know the film’s collections in a week and that its success would be decided in two weeks.
