The Chief Secretary of the A&N Administration has been formally urged by Mr. Rangalal Halder, President of the Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, to set up blood grouping camps in all Panchayats throughout Campbell Bay, Little Andaman, North & Middle Andaman, and other Nicobar Islands. Mr. Halder stressed the significance of developing an extensive database of citizens’ blood types in a letter to the Chief Secretary. He emphasized that such a program will increase emergency response skills and healthcare readiness throughout the islands.

Mr. Halder emphasized the difficulties experienced by locals in isolated locations with little medical facilities, emphasizing that waiting for suitable blood during medical emergencies could be fatal. “This initiative could streamline medical response times, enable quicker assistance in crisis situations, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of the people,” he said. Mr. Halder emphasized the program’s potential to improve the public health framework in the area and urged the Administration to issue an official mandate to implement it.
