In order to alert customers and the public about a scheduled power outage on December 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the electricity department has released a press release. Several locations that receive electricity from the five feeders—Radial-I, Radial-II, Dairy Farm, Nayagaon, Airport, and Lamba Line—will be impacted by this outage. The planned power outage is a preventative measure while the defective 11 KV underground cable of the Lamba Line feeder, which is situated in front of BSNL and Bengali Club, is being inspected for faults. The planned outage is required to lower risks during repair work because of the close proximity of high-voltage subterranean wires that share the same trench.
Consequently, the power supply will be suspended at a number of important locations, including Vidhyut Bhawan, the Electricity Headquarters Office, the SVPMC Auditorium, the APWD CE Office, the Secretariat, the Court Complex, the Raj Niwas, Gandhi Park, Shadipur, South Point, Mazaar Pahad, the Dairy Farm (complete), the Dairy Farm Junction, the CPWD Complex, Lamba Line, Ranchi Tekery, the School Line (complete), Minnie Bay (part), the Gurudwara Line (part), the Bengali Club, Biggi Line, the Anthropological Museum, the Link Road, the VIP Road, the Police Line, the Rajasthan Mandir, ALHW Colony, Hawaghar Junction, the Dudh Line, Nayagaon, Bargat Line, GPRA Colony, and Corbyn’s Junction in Sri Vijaya Puram.
