Hyderabad, September 1, 2025 — Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming gangster action drama They Call Him OG has shattered records in the United States, registering historic advance sales for its premiere shows. According to industry trackers, the film has grossed over $676,000 (₹5.96 crore) in just four days of pre-sales, selling more than 22,800 tickets across 308 locations in North America.

The film, directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, is slated for a theatrical release on September 25, with premiere shows scheduled for September 24. The overwhelming response from the Telugu diaspora and global fans has positioned OG as the fastest Indian film to cross the $500K mark in U.S. premiere pre-sales.

The buzz around the film intensified following the release of its promotional track “Firestorm,” which showcased Pawan Kalyan in a gritty, mass-appeal avatar. The actor plays Ojas Gambhira, a mafia don who resurfaces after a decade to reclaim his place in the Mumbai underworld. The ensemble cast includes Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Arjun Das.

Trade analysts predict that OG could join the elite club of Indian films that have surpassed $3 million in U.S. premiere collections, alongside Kalki 2898 AD, RRR, and Pushpa 2. The film’s strong pre-release momentum is seen as a major comeback for Pawan Kalyan, especially after the lukewarm performance of his previous release Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

The record-breaking advance bookings reflect both the enduring popularity of Pawan Kalyan and the growing global appetite for high-octane Telugu cinema. With nearly a month to go before its release, They Call Him OG is poised to make a significant impact at the overseas box office.
