The decision follows widespread passenger complaints over delays, cancellations, and inadequate customer support during the busy travel season. Lawmakers expressed concern that the disruptions have caused significant inconvenience to travelers and raised questions about operational preparedness and regulatory oversight.
According to sources, the panel will seek detailed explanations from airline managements on scheduling practices, crew availability, and contingency planning. Regulators will also be asked to clarify the steps taken to monitor compliance and enforce passenger rights.
Members of the committee noted that while weather conditions and technical issues can affect flight schedules, the scale of recent disruptions suggests systemic shortcomings.
