Child star Umer Shah passed away at the age of 15, a tragic turn of events that shocked the Pakistani entertainment industry. The teen, who was well-known for his contagious smile and endearing on-screen persona, passed away in his hometown of Dera Ismail Khan early on Monday morning after suffering a heart arrest. Family and medical accounts state that Umer experienced vomiting, which caused fluid to enter his lungs and set off the cardiovascular crisis. Although its connection to the tragedy is yet unknown, an earlier occurrence with a deadly snake in the residence was also highlighted. His older brother, Ahmed Shah, posted the news on Instagram and asked followers to pray for their family and remember Umer. This is to let you know that Umer Shah, our family’s little sparkling star, has returned to Allah Ta’ala. He stated, “I ask everyone to keep him and our family in their prayers.” The family has now experienced two tragedies. In November 2023, the siblings lost Ayesha, their youngest sister.
Alongside his older brother, Umer became a social media celebrity and a TV personality, enthralling audiences. The pair’s appearances in well-known programs like ARY Digital’s “Jeeto Pakistan” and “Shan-e-Ramazan” helped them become well-known. The brothers, who frequently wore costumes, were beloved by fans for their innocent humor, which included the widely shared “peeche tou dekho” video. Celebrities hurried to share their sadness and amazement. One of the first to respond was “Jeeto Pakistan” host Fahad Mustafa, who expressed astonishment and said he was “speechless” over Umer’s passing. He is “a beam of light, joy and innocence,” actor Adnan Siddiqui said, adding, “I am shattered… it feels impossible that he’s no longer with us.” ‘Shan-e-Ramazan’ host Waseem Badami verified the cause after checking with medical professionals, and Aijaz Aslam recalled Umer as “a little angel” and “a bright, kind soul who brought smiles to everyone.”
In addition, former cricket player Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaista Lodhi, Momal Sheikh, Mahira Khan, Hina Altaf, and child influencer Muhammad Shiraz paid their respects, comparing the loss to “losing a part of myself.”
