The National Industries Research and Development Council (NIRDC) has launched InDApp, a unified single-window digital platform aimed at supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India. The platform was inaugurated by B.L. Verma, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment and Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, at a ceremony in New Delhi.
InDApp has been designed to simplify business processes, provide faster access to government approvals, and connect MSMEs with export and subsidy schemes. It also offers real-time market insights, nationwide business opportunities, and functions as a B2B marketplace to promote Indian brands and artisans globally.
Developed in collaboration with seven Union Ministries, the platform integrates digital services with on-ground outreach. Senior NIRDC leaders, including Chairman Shambhu Singh (IAS Retd.), Vice Chairman Dr. Lalit Varma (IAS Retd.), and National Administrator Subish P. Vasudev, emphasized that InDApp will reduce bureaucratic delays, improve transparency, and strengthen competitiveness in the MSME sector.
India’s MSMEs contribute nearly 30 percent of GDP and 45 percent of exports. Officials noted that the platform will empower entrepreneurs by streamlining approvals, providing direct access to financial schemes, and enhancing ease of doing business.
Industry observers see the launch as a landmark step in digital governance, aligning with the government’s Digital India vision and supporting inclusive economic growth.
