Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda feature in Mohit Suri’s much anticipated trailer for Saiyaara. On Wednesday, YRF uploaded the more than two-minute clip to its YouTube channel. Ahaan plays promising singer Krish Kapoor in the teaser. Ahaan’s character has lyrics written by Aneet, who plays a songwriter. The trailer depicts the couple’s meeting, time spent together, and eventual love. They create memories together and show one other how much they care. Their musical and emotional paths, however, take a sharp turn when Aneet’s character asks a sobbing Krish to leave an event by threatening him with a knife. As he sobs and vents his rage, a saddened Krish exhibits a shift in demeanor. “Apne pyaar ke liye na khud ko khatam mat kar lena” is what Varun Badola, who plays Krish’s father, tells him. In another scenario, Aneet’s character marries. With the remark, “Flawed, imperfect people make for perfect love stories… experience a love story so pure that it heals your heart,” the video was shared. Saiyaara, which was directed by Mohit Suri, will open in theaters on July 19. Akshaye Widhani, the CEO of Yash Raj Films, is the producer. Before agreeing to the movie, Ahaan trained at YRF for more than six years under Aditya Chopra’s tutelage, according to YRF. The actor was introduced to filmmaker Mohit Suri for screen tests and auditions before securing the deal. Mohit returns to the musical field in the movie, where he was successful with songs like Aashiqui 2. Tanishk Bagchi wrote the film’s soundtrack. In the film, both of the primary characters make their first appearances.
