Madhav Suresh said that his father, actor-politician Suresh Gopi is not outspoken and never makes public statements without full information.
Madhav Suresh, son of noted actor Suresh Gopi who is the latest “nepo kid” on the block, recently spoke about the constant trolling and criticism he and his father face online. Madhav attributed it to his father’s political affiliation with the BJP. Nevertheless, the youngster said that his father is not outspoken and never makes public statements without full information.
Madhav said during an interaction with a YouTube channel, “Many people here don’t like that my father is a BJP minister (Suresh Gopi currently serves as the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas as well as Tourism after winning from the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency).
That is the thing I hate the most. My father is very opinionated and does thorough research before putting forth his views. He sticks to his views even if he gets trolled. That is because he has guts. And those who hate him may not have guts. I focus on what I am learning and doing.
I don’t care about trolls or negativity.” Following in the footsteps of his father and elder brother Gokul Suresh, Madhav Suresh made his film debut playing a pivotal role in Kummattikali (2024). However, both the film and his performance were heavily criticised.
Nevertheless, he soon got another chance and was cast in a pivotal role in the courtroom drama Janaki vs State of Kerala (JSK), which stars his father in the lead role. JSK, which has been mired in controversy over its title and the lead character’s name, is awaiting its release date.
During the same interview, Madhav Suresh also revealed that he recently bought a car on loan without his father’s help. “People asked if the car was bought by my father or me. It would have been better if it was with my own money, he said. Well, it was with my own money. I have taken a loan. I have to repay it by working. Whatever savings my father has made are for his retirement or my sisters’ marriages. If I fail, that’s an option – but I want to make it myself.”
Since his first public appearance, Madhav Suresh has often faced criticism and trolling for his comments and his tone, which many consider arrogant and entitled.
