Mumbai, September 27, 2025 — Actor Kartik Aaryan and filmmaker Luv Ranjan are set to reunite for a new feature film, marking their fifth collaboration and rekindling one of Bollywood’s most successful actor-director partnerships. The upcoming project is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to begin filming in early 2026.
The duo, known for delivering youth-centric hits such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), have reportedly found a script that both consider worthy of their reunion. Their last major collaboration was seven years ago, leading to speculation about a professional rift, especially after Ranjan cast Ranbir Kapoor in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. However, sources close to the development clarified that there was no fallout, and Aaryan even made a cameo appearance in that film.
According to reports, the new film will be an outright entertainer in Luv Ranjan’s signature style, featuring strong music and a character that aligns with Kartik Aaryan’s popular on-screen persona. While casting details remain under wraps, industry buzz suggests that Alia Bhatt may be considered for the female lead, potentially marking her first collaboration with both Ranjan and Aaryan.
The film is expected to continue the duo’s tradition of blending comedy, romance, and social commentary, a formula that has resonated strongly with younger audiences. Insiders describe the project as a return to the genre that first propelled Aaryan to stardom and cemented Ranjan’s reputation as a director with a pulse on contemporary youth culture.
On the professional front, Kartik Aaryan is currently preparing for the release of Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, slated for December 31, 2025. He is also involved in several other projects including Naagzilla – Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, Captain India, and a romantic musical directed by Anurag Basu. Meanwhile, Luv Ranjan is gearing up for the release of De De Pyaar De 2, scheduled to hit theatres on November 14, 2025.
The upcoming film will mark a significant milestone in their creative journey, reaffirming their status as one of the longest-standing actor-director duos in contemporary Hindi cinema.
