
BJP National President JP Nadda conducted a strategic review of the party’s Tamil Nadu unit ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. During his visit to Chennai, he urged senior functionaries to intensify grassroots efforts and strengthen organizational work to expand BJP’s influence in the state.
Nadda presided over the state core group meeting, where Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagendran reaffirmed the party’s commitment to unseating the ruling DMK government in the upcoming elections. Senior BJP leaders, including P Sudhakar Reddy, H Raja, Vanathi Srinivasan, Pon Radhakrishnan, and Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, attended the meeting.
The BJP leadership emphasized disciplined planning and sustained engagement with voters, particularly targeting youth, women, and first-time voters. Nadda also encouraged booth-level strengthening to improve BJP’s electoral prospects in Tamil Nadu.
Apart from political discussions, Nadda participated in the sixth International Saiva Siddhanta Conference, hosted by Dharmapuram Adheenam at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The event focused on preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending his support through a special message.
