The Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA), South Andaman District, held two Awareness Program-cum-Seminars in commemoration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2025. Many students and staff members actively participated in the sessions, which were hosted at the BRITECH IT Group of Institute and Nursery Teacher’s Training Institute (NTTI), Sri Vijaya Puram. The meeting was welcomed by Mr. R.C. Das, Chairman and CEO of BRITECH IT and NTTI, who urged everyone in attendance to be watchful and dedicated to living an addiction-free life. IRCA South Andaman’s Medical Officer, Dr. M.K. Mahato, gave a perceptive talk about the negative impacts of alcohol and drug misuse. He also offered helpful advice on how people might withstand addiction and overcome it. All participants made a commitment to refrain from substance addiction and live drug-free, healthy lifestyles as a symbolic act of dedication.
