Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

The government of India commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) program, a groundbreaking effort that was started on January 22, 2015, to support the education, safety, and survival of girls. The program has made tremendous progress in the last ten years in empowering girls, promoting gender equality, and creating a welcoming culture for women nationwide. In cooperation with other departments, the Directorate of Social Welfare’s ICDS Project (Rural) Diglipur held an awareness and oath-taking event to mark this milestone.

Mr. Kamaleshwar Rao S, IAS, the Assistant Commissioner of Diglipur, was the Chief Guest and lit the ceremonial lamp to begin the function. Prominent dignitaries also attended the occasion, including Mr. Bibhas Biswas (EO, BDO Office), Ms. Aarti Singh, Assistant Director (Agriculture), Diglipur; Dr. Shipra Mistry (MO, Ayurveda); Ms. Kannagi (SI, PS Diglipur); and Mr. CH Siddharaju, Chief Medical Officer (CHC Diglipur).

The Chief Guest and other dignitaries emphasized the program’s accomplishments in their speeches, including better child-to-sex ratios, more girls attending school, and more chances for females to take up leadership roles and make contributions to society. The occasion was a significant commemoration of ten years of advancement under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao project, and it ended with a vote of appreciation from ICDS officials.
