Kartavya Bhawan (4)

Kartavya Bhawan is a state-of-the-art office building in Delhi’s major Vista that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to open. Its goal is to revolutionize the way India’s major ministries operate. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of External Affairs, the Ministry of Rural Development, Petroleum and Natural Gas, MSME, and the Ministry of Home Affairs will all be housed in the newly built facility.

These ministries now function out of dilapidated structures, including Shastri Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, and Nirman Bhawan, many of which are from the 1950s to 1970s. Kartavya Bhawan was designed with a great emphasis on security and sustainability, and it has several contemporary and environmentally friendly elements. The structure has rainwater collection systems, a zero-discharge waste management facility, electric vehicle charging stations, and solar panels that produce more than 5.34 lakh units of power annually.

Special energy-efficient glass reduces outside noise while assisting in maintaining interior temperatures. Infrastructure related to technology and security has also been given priority. A centralized command system for operational administration, integrated surveillance, ID-based access restrictions, and safe, IT-enabled workstations will all be provided by the complex. The government intends to signify a change toward an administrative ecosystem that is more effective, sustainable, and enabled by technology with this ambitious addition to the Central Vista redevelopment project.
