Hrithik Roshan is currently gearing up for the release of War 2. At a recent event in Sri Lanka, the actor opened up about his career and his experience working with Kiara Advani in War 2. He also spoke about the two iconic roles that eventually went to Aamir Khan.
He said, “I had refused ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘3 Idiots’. But I think Aamir [Khan] was the right choice for both those films. He had a destiny.”
Hrithik also spoke about his shortcomings during the event and how he never remembers dialogues or dance steps off-camera. He said, “One is my dialogues. If I am not in front of the camera in real life, I never remember my dialogues. And the other, unfortunately, is my dance steps. I never remember both the steps once I move away from the camera. It’s unbelievable.”
Talking about the dance steps, Hrithik Roshan recalled shooting for the song “Awaan Jawan” from War 2 and how he and Kiara Advani had a tough time matching the steps. “It was a really easy step. But for some reason, when Kiara and I were rehearsing, we were having trouble matching our hands and feet. I had to move like her, she had to move like me. So, although it was easy, it became difficult trying to match each other. I have done some very difficult steps which were actually very easy.”
He also recalled his iconic dance moves in the song “Main Aisa Kyon Hoon” from his film Lakshya and revealed how he practised for a month to perfect the choreography. He said, “Like ‘Main Aisa Kyon Hoon’ looked really difficult, but Prabhu Deva made it very easy for me because he had someone with him for a month, and I slowly progressed in those steps every day, little by little, and then magic, that masterpiece was born.”
Hrithik also said that he is “scared” about his directorial debut with Krrish 4. He said, “I need your love and blessings. I am very excited, but also very nervous. Encouragement will go a long way. I am scared, but I am also very, very excited about this new chapter of my life.”
War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Jr NTR in a negative role. It will release on August 14.
