New Delhi, Gold prices rose by Rs 1,098 to Rs 1,00,700 per 10 grams in futures trading on Monday as speculators bought new deals due to strong spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of gold contract for October delivery rose by Rs 1,098 or 1.08 per cent to Rs 1,00,700 per 10 grams in which 15,443 lots were traded.
Globally, Comex gold futures for December delivery in New York fell 0.94 per cent to $3,365.94 an ounce.
