Milap Zaveri’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, has registered an impressive performance at the box office on its second day, earning ₹16.5 crore. The film, which released during the Diwali weekend with minimal promotions, has surprised trade analysts by outperforming expectations and competing strongly against other releases.

On its opening day, the film collected ₹9 crore, followed by ₹7.5 crore on Day 2, showing only a slight dip and maintaining momentum despite competition from Ayushmann Khurrana’s horror-comedy Thamma. The total two-day collection now stands at ₹16.5 crore, positioning the film as a potential sleeper hit.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat marks Harshvardhan Rane’s first release of the year and his debut collaboration with Sonam Bajwa. Their on-screen chemistry, along with the film’s music and dialogues, has resonated well with audiences. Notably, this is Sonam Bajwa’s third Bollywood release in 2025, following Housefull 5 and Baaghi 4.

The film has also outperformed Dharma Productions’ Dhadak 2 in terms of Day 2 earnings, further solidifying its position in the festive box office race. Early trends suggest that Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat may become Harshvardhan Rane’s highest-grossing original film to date.

With positive word-of-mouth and strong audience turnout, the film is expected to maintain its box office momentum over the weekend.
