
The Education Department organized a two-day distribution and fitting camp for Special Hearing Aids in Sri Vijaya Puram and Wimberlygunj, aimed at assisting children with hearing impairments.
Experts from the Medical/Rehabilitation and Education Department evaluated 31 students and proposed tailored solutions to improve their learning and communication skills.
Dr. Ravi Kapoor, a Senior Audiologist from Government Medical College Hospital in Chandigarh, spearheaded the camp, which featured audiological and ENT assessments for the 31 students.
A total of 26 hearing aids were provided to students in need.
Additionally, the camp offered awareness and counseling sessions for parents, teachers, and Special Educators to effectively support children with hearing impairments both at home and in educational settings.
