In order to raise awareness of its operations and the essential services it provides to safeguard children in need, the Directorate of Social Welfare’s Child Helpline 1098 (CHL) recently hosted a series of awareness seminars and webinars. A variety of events were carried out at several locations as part of the campaign, such as the WCD Control Room at VIP Road, Junglighat, Government Secondary School at South Point, and Seva Niketan (Child Care Institution) at Dairy Farm.

The goal of these initiatives was to raise public awareness of Child Helpline-1098’s services, which give 24-hour support to children in need. Students, PRI members, ASHA employees, NGOs, self-help group (SHG) members, and health professionals were among the community segments that participated in the campaigns, which brought them together in the common goal of defending children’s rights and ensuring their welfare.

Child Helpline-1098 provides emergency assistance, counseling, and rescue services, acting as a lifeline for kids. Citizens are encouraged to contact the toll-free number 1098 immediately in order to report any instances of child abuse or youngsters that require care and protection. The Child Helpline staff is committed to creating a more secure and caring environment for kids and is available around-the-clock for further support.
