Port Blair, March 5, 2025: Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), recently visited the Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC) from March 1 to 4, 2025. During his visit, he was briefed on the Command’s role and operational readiness.

Upon arrival at Sri Vijaya Puram, Admiral Tripathi was received by Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, PVSM, AVSM, VM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN). He was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour at INS Utkrosh.

Admiral Tripathi visited the Headquarters ANC, where he was briefed on the Command’s role, operational readiness, and the strategic significance of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The briefing highlighted the Command’s contributions to India’s maritime security and its role in supporting military operations and the ‘Act East’ policy.

The CNS also visited various units and establishments across the Command, including INS Kardip. He interacted with naval personnel and reviewed the infrastructure and welfare initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for sailors and their families.

During his visit, Admiral Tripathi inaugurated several facilities, including the renovated Sailors’ Accommodation and ‘Baazeecha,’ a recreational area for naval personnel and their families. These initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to improve living conditions and boost morale among the troops.
