Celina spent the day reflecting on the past, while many in the film business celebrated the festival with exciting get-togethers and family celebrations. The performer was open about how much her life has altered since then. She wrote, “Homesick for a Place That No Longer Exists, in a very intimate statement. After living abroad for as long as you were raised in your parents’ house, who do you become?”
She talked on the lasting sense of displacement that followed years spent overseas, reflecting on life spent between nations and cultures. “You gradually embrace the advantages of a new country while leaving behind your family, friends, job, and culture. However, you eventually experience a sense of loss. You know you did everything you could to blend, but in essence, it’s hard to integrate in a country where you weren’t born,” she wrote. Celina, who has lived in Austria for several years, spoke about how home once meant being surrounded by loved ones.
