
The Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram, enthusiastically commemorated National Science Day, honoring Nobel winner Sir C.V. Raman’s discovery of the Raman Effect. “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat,” this year’s theme, highlighted the importance of young people in forming the scientific future of the country. Several contests were held as part of the festivities to encourage students’ interest and scientific understanding.
682 students from various schools in Sri Vijaya Puram took part in these activities, demonstrating their scientific expertise and passion. As the main guest, Dr. Jatinder Sohal, Director of Science & Technology, A & N Administration, presented prizes and certificates to the winners of the Science Week competitions. During his speech, Dr. Sohal commended the Science Center for its creative teaching initiatives, emphasizing how they help students develop a scientific temperament.
Mr. Debashis Paul, the Science Center’s Education Officer, welcomed the group and underlined the importance of the Center in fostering the next generation of scientists. He pointed out that the Science Centre offers the perfect setting for pupils to explore and cultivate their scientific curiosity because of its interactive exhibits and captivating activities. The celebration effectively reinforced the value of scientific education in fostering national development by encouraging students to study more about science and innovation.
