The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at the residences of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. These raids took place in both Raipur and Bhilai. The CBI’s actions are connected to investigations surrounding the Mahadev betting app case.
In addition to Baghel’s residences, the CBI also conducted searches at the premises of a senior police officer and a close associate of the former Chief Minister. Reports indicate that the searches also extended to the residence of Congress MLA Devendra Yadav, and also to the residences of IPS officers.
These actions follow recent raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), adding to the ongoing investigations. Bhupesh Baghel has responded to these actions, alleging that they are politically motivated. The Congress party has also voiced similar concerns, stating that the raids are a form of political harassment. Sources and related content
