Bharatiya Janata Party State President Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari has written to the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration, requesting an urgent response to the erratic power supply in the A&N Islands, particularly in Sri Vijaya Puram. Tiwari has received numerous representations from Panchayati Raj institutions, urging the Department of Electricity to address the issue on a war footing. He has requested regular advance intimation regarding area-wise power cut schedules to ensure people can take precautions and take care of power outages.
