Belgium’s Tomorrowland electronic dance music festival has suffered a massive fire, severely damaging its main stage two days before the event was set to open to an expected 100,000 attendees. The fire, which was reportedly suddenly, has led to an investigation by Antwerp prosecutors. The festival, which is set to begin on Friday in Boom, north of Brussels, is expected to attract around 100,000 participants, many of whom plan to camp on site. The 2025 edition, which is scheduled to run over two weekends, will begin on Thursday. The festival, founded 20 years ago by Belgian brothers, has become an internationally-renowned event with a winter festival in Alpe d’Huez and another in Brazil.
