The abuse of artificial intelligence and the expanding practice of sharing altered photos of celebrities online have drawn criticism from actor Ayesha Khan. She disclosed that she has seen multiple photoshopped images of herself on social media, and that it disturbs and upsets her to see such edited stuff. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ayesha discussed the misuse of AI and the alarming developments on social media. Ayesha expressed her worry about the dangerous normalization of artificial intelligence (AI) and its misuse.

“The AI thing that has started is really scary,” she remarked. You have created an entire software to sexually assault women online. The fact that this is taking place is beyond my capacity to comprehend. An AI film with Vijay sir and I hugging each other was created from a picture of us. This has never happened before, and I had to let her know that. According to Ayesha, she has come across multiple remarkably lifelike modified photos of herself online. It’s “sad how most people would not know that it’s AI,” she says.

Ayesha stated, “People don’t understand consent,” in reference to the problem of paparazzi and viral recordings. These things cannot be done without asking. They are aware that it’s improper—you’re recording someone’s embarrassing moment and perhaps sharing it online. She emphasized that not all paparazzi are the same, saying that some of them are “good people.” When she expresses discomfort, many photographers respect limits, according to Ayesha, who claimed that when she requests them not to upload any of her photos, they comply and don’t do so.
